September '24 & 25: SF Grans assist Bayview/Hunters Point community at an intergenerational climate & environmental justice conference.
The SF Circle has been working in solidarity with community residents to push for a thorough cleanup of the toxic leftovers from the Naval Shipyard and other industrial polluters.

April '25: On Earth Day we provided a secure environment for a Youth v. Apocalypse fair in Oakland.

May & June '25: The Green Grannies pressed for the passage of the "Make Polluters Pay" legislation at the State legislature and locally....




January '25: The SF Circle joined local community in Bayview to press for the closure of Darling International's polluting animal rendering plant
2024 Window Poster campaign at Berkeley Farmers Market & elsewhere
Grans distributed posters & literature & engaged passerbys on a just transition to a green economy. End Fossil Fuel Window Posters have been distributed throughout the Bay Area.

November, '24: We stood with Santa Barbara's Fearless Grans to protest Sable Corp's leaky ocean pipelines.

At a CA Coastal Commission meeting in SF we sent a message that we stand opposed to restarting the offshore platforms and corroded pipeline which ruptured off the Santa Barbara coast in 2015.

We protested ICE's invasion of our communities, & ICE plans for a Dublin detention center.

During MAY DAY actions in 2025, we stood up for the rights of immigrants , workers, Palestinians, communities battling environmental racism & against the Trump billionaire oligarchy....



Feb '25: Supporting Immigrant Rights at the State Capitol with Mujeres Unidas y Activas....

Grans joined the ICE Out of CA & the Dignity Not Detention coalitions in Sacramento to demand that our state government protect immigrants in California.


In 2025, our fight to preserve democracy & prevent a fascist takeover required participation in protests as well as electoral work. Grans attended Tesla boycotts, provided support for the Poor People's campaign, participated in both the June and October No Kings demonstrations, & campaigned for Prop 50.

March: Actions took us to the Sacramento capitol & all over the Bay Area to stand up against the Trump/Musk regime
We rallied to save the EPA, & at "Hands Off' protests in SF, Oakland, Berkeley, Marin, & Santa Rosa.





October & November, 2024: Grandmothers canvass for Kamala Harris and NV Senator Jacky Rosen
22 Grans & allies canvassed in Reno joining Third Act, and hearing inspiring talks by Bill McKibben & Rebecca Solnit.

Anti-militarism/Support for Gaza
We marched, sat in, held prayer vigils, and pilgrimages to protest military aid to Israel, and genocide & starvation in Gaza
October '25: Grans say: "Fleet Week Air Shows Fuel the Climate Crisis!"
Grannies rallied with Veterans for Peace at the SF Ferry Building to make a visible statement that air shows--& military armaments--accelerate the climate crisis. Informational leaflets were distributed providing details.

We demanded an end to military support for Israel's war against Palestinians, & for an immediate ceasefire. Grandmothers risked arrest in sit-ins at Oakland's Federal Bldg., & in SF at Sen. Padilla's office.
October '24: NOT ANOTHER BOMB - Grans rallied & marched in Oakland to demand an arms embargo.
Grans joined a National Day of Action to send the message to Biden & Harris.
Solidarity
​The Annual Shellmound Prayer Walk was a celebration of the return of the Berkeley Shellmound to Ohlone stewardship!

Grans join the walk every year, praying, carrying puppets, and driving to pick up tired marchers.tMany of us have participated for years, but this year was special with the Ohlone victory.








1000 Grandmother Gatherings
We gathered at Convenings, in Circles, at Sing-a-longs, at picnics, and at Engagement Committee " Conversation, Cookies & Community" meetings. We donated our original art & authored books at an Art Fair Fundraiser in 2024.
